Summer Diffuser Blends

Summer is here! With that in mind, today I am sharing some of my favorite blends to diffuse in our home in the warmer months. You will find plenty of refreshing and invigorating blends containing citrus, herbs, mint and all sorts of summer goodness to scent your home with. The beauty of diffusing essential oils is that you can easily adapt or alter the combinations to your preferences. Love lavender? Add another drop! Don’t have any spearmint on hand? Substitute peppermint or another oil you have in your collection. The possibilities and combinations are endless.

You will find that all of these combinations are a total of six drops. That’s my preference and a general guidelines of diffuser maufacturers, but you can certainly adapt or alter according to your likes or diffuser needs.

I have been using your recipe ,the “essential oil air freshener” from The Organically Clean Home on page 150. I am not having success with it adding any scent to the air. The oils I use work great in all your other recipes so I know it’s not that. I bought the bottles and reeds specifically from Amazon for this purpose. The mixture in the glass bottles slowly evaporates but the reeds remain fairly dry?Have you ever had this problem or have any suggestions? Should the reeds be pre soaked or shortened? Thank you for any help.

  2. Oh fun! Totally going to try some of these this week!

    What diffuser do you recommend?

  4. Love these! Thanks. A recipe that came to my mind this week is 3 drops grapefruit, 1 drop bergamot. After reading your post I am going to go add 1 drop spearmint! Hadn’t thought of a cooling mint to add to the mix!!

  5. I would like to try this but don’t have a diffuser. What brand is yours and where did you get it?

  6. I love essential oils and I’m sure gonna try these over the weekend!
