(FRIDAY) DAY 6: CATCH-ALL DAY
My secret to a clean house most of the time? I always incorporate and plan for a day to catch up every single week. This is one of the secrets to a clean home. Build in a day that accounts for life’s surprises, because you know they’re going to happen. Someone will get sick, you’ll be needed somewhere else, or maybe you just won’t feel like cleaning bath-rooms or vacuuming. I believe it’s absolutely necessary to give yourself grace and plan for that list to have more on it than you can accomplish. If you didn’t complete everything this week or left something out, go back and finish it up.
What can you catch up on today? Take the time to finish up anything that’s looming, uncompleted, or just bugging you. If you were able to finish everything this week, do a quick cleanup and declutter. Grab a bag or basket and walk through your home picking up anything that’s in a spot where it doesn’t belong. Once you’ve gathered a bag or basket of clutter, return each item to its proper home, put it in a donate bin, or toss it out.
Here’s how the challenge is going to work – every day for 7 days (March 12-18) you’ll have an assigned task to complete – you’ll see that the tasks semi-mirror my cleaning routine. Once you’ve completed the 7 tasks, you’ll be ready to continue with the Simply Clean Method as you move forward. I’ll be sharing the daily tasks on social media and back on this blog post.
