  1. I used it to clean the brown stains (well water) in my dishwasher! if interested.

Question: What is the purpose of the rubbing alcohol addition when cleaning vinyl flooring? Thanks!

    • Love it, thanks Annette! The rubbing alcohol kills germs and evaporates quickly on laminate flooring – should keep it from streaking too!

Re: Item #3, I like to add 1 cup each of vinegar and baking soda to each load of laundry. It serves to both freshen the clothes and keep the machine smelling sweet.

  4. I do not like cleaning with baking soda or borax so much because how much rinsing you have to do say as a substitute for comet etc. I do like vinegar for laundry softner and as a glass/ kitchen cleaner. I use dishsoap for soap scum and a kitchen sink cleaner. works great. rubbing alchohol will stain wallpaper if it gets on it.

  5. Please put me out of my misery…..what kind of vinegar are you advising? I feel so so ignorant!!
White (Distilled) or Brown (Malt). What about washing fruit/vegetables?
    Thanks from Wales! X

  6. Nice tips! Def going to print this!

Love this website. I am mostly cleaning with vinager and baking soda and dish soap. I am so sensitive to the chemicals in cleaning products. I have my handy bottle of half vinager and water to clean stuff. Thanks again!
