Organize Your Bathroom Counters in Minutes

Organize Your Bathroom Counters in Minutes via Clean Mama

This week’s organizing focus is the BATHROOM COUNTERS.  If you haven’t grabbed May’s FREE cleaning and organizing calendar yet, you can go here to grab it.

Your challenge this week is to quickly clear off your bathroom counters (if you only have time for one counter, tackle the one that’s most used).  Start by giving your counters a quick wipe down (time this with your bathroom cleaning and it’s even easier!), and do a little assessment of the situation.

  • Toss any cosmetics that you don’t use or if they are older than a year (yes, makeup expires).
  • Put your most-used items on a tray or dish to keep them together.  This works really well for cleaning – instead of having to move a bunch of makeup products, just move the tray.
  • Want to keep makeup and skin care products out?  Put them in a basket – they’ll look better and be easily contained.
  • Go through your drawers and get rid of anything you don’t use anymore.
  • Place hairdryers and curling irons in a basket in a drawer or in a container in a cupboard to keep them off the counters.
  • Resolve to keep just the bare necessities on your counters – your counters will look better AND be easier to clean and maintain.

  1. Thanks for the tips, my bathroom counter is always cluttered.

  2. Becky, great ideas! I love to walk into our master bath when it is uncluttered. I do my best to keep the counters clean, make up in a drawer and the hair dryers and curler and straightener in a basket. Makes a HUGE difference! And makes for easy cleaning :)

  3. What a great post! I love practical organizing advice.
Becky, would you have time to come over to my blog hop and share this?
    It just went live.
Hope to see you there :)

  4. It’s amazing how quickly a counter can become filthy. Removing clutter is clearly an important step. Thanks for maintaining this blog and helping me with ideas for my cleaning business.
